With a highly successful 25-year history in commercial real estate, since 1999, Bruce has devoted his time to working exclusively in the senior housing arena on the disposition, acquisition, development, financing and joint venturing of senior housing facilities and land on a national basis. During that time, Bruce has been involved in senior housing sale, debt and equity transactions totaling nearly $2 billion and was part of what the Senior Care Investor called the most active senior housing brokerage for 2007. Bruce has completed transactions involving many of the major owners and investors in the senior housing industry, including: Vi (formerly Classic Residence by Hyatt); Holiday Retirement; Emeritus Senior Living; Sunrise Senior Living; Principal Senior Living Group; Kisco Senior Living; Senior Housing Properties Trust; Chartwell Seniors Housing REIT; Fortress Investment Group; HCP and GE Capital, among numerous others.
Bruce is a licensed Real Estate Broker in Florida, Georgia and Maine, and is active in several senior housing organizations including the American Seniors Housing Association, the National Investment Center for the Seniors Housing & Care Industry and the Assisted Living Federation of America.
Prior to starting his own firm in 2009, Bruce was a Senior Vice President with CB Richard Ellis where he worked for 16 years. Bruce headed the Miami-based senior housing group for CBRE for 10 of those years. Prior to entering senior housing, Bruce spent 5 years with CBRE in the financial consulting division as a Senior Financial Analyst then Manager, where he was part of a team that completed more than 100 sale and lease transactions involving large regional and national portfolios including multifamily, retail, office, hotel and industrial properties. Prior to that, Bruce was a Financial Analyst for Fenton-Western Properties for 3 years where he was responsible for evaluating the performance of individual properties relative to the portfolio and for making hold/sell recommendations based on that performance. Bruce also spent 3 years with Simon Property Group, the worlds largest shopping mall owner, developer and manager, in the development, acquisition, expansion and joint venturing of $5 billion of mall properties, including the $650 million, 4.3 million square foot Mall of America and the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Bruce received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business, double majoring in Finance and Management & Organizations with a sub-concentration in Small Business & Entrepreneurship from Indiana University.
